Here's my first. http://www.savageshooters.com/images/Misc/AR_Eraticator02.jpg With Mueller 8.5-25x50mm Eraticator http://www.savageshooters.com/images/Misc/AR_RedDot02.jpg With Sightron Red-Dot Spec's: Mega Lower Assembly DPMS Southpaw Hi-Rider Upper & Bolt M1S Carrier & Parts M1S FF Tube Shilen CM 24" Fluted HBAR (12 twist) & GB Ergo Ambi-Grip Complete build totalled right at $600. Picked up the upper & bolt on Ebay for a song, and the Shilen barrel used from a friend of mine. Scope and red-dot I both had on hand and will suffice for now, but am looking at an IOR 4x24mm M2 .223 Tactical for a perminent fixture. Need to get that and a Ambi-Safety selector and I'll be GTG. |

Yeah, I would listen to this guy. Stay away from anything he tells you to. He's an expert and he knows what he's talking about. Can't you tell by the great big explination he provided you as to why you should not use Wolf.? Don't worry about the Wolf ammo. It works 100% in my rifles and so far I haven't had any problems with it. It dirty as hell, the accuracy is absolutely shit and it's very underpowered but it's cheap and those are the trade offs for cheap plinking ammo. If you rifle likes it then use it if you want. |

Nothing special. Mega lower, DPMS M4 upper 1/9 twist Chrome lined, DPMS Parts kit, RRA 6-position stock. Shot 250 rounds through it yesterday with XM193, Black Hills 52gr match, and some Winchester white box 45gr. varmint. No problems and very accurate. Me likey. Please excuse the fact it still hasn't been cleaned.    Jon |
Note to you, I said if I were him. If you like it, more power to you. If he wants to use it he can, too. And excuse me for not including an explanation..Wolf ammo is steel cased and they are laquered to keep the steel from rusting. On rapiad fire or prolonged shooting the laquer will biuld up in your chamber, possibly to the point of jamming. Note the use of possibly. -Tyler

No the laquer will not build up in your chamber. There have been several tests done to try and prove this and none of them could get the laquer to melt. What builds up in your chamber is the red sealant they use on the bullet. If you have a chrome chamber and bore, which you should, this is easily removed when you swab the barrel. However non of this no longer matters. Last year Wolf started coating their ammo with a thin polymer coating rather than the laquer. They also stopped using the red sealant on their .223 ammo so there is no longer any build up. If you knew anything about which you spoke you would have known for quite some time about the polymer coating.

I haven't seen one of these yet so I have to assume its rather rare. If you do have one please post. There is no photo shop work done in the pic below. Its my AR74 It is a combination of a AR47 lower and a Alexander Arms .21 Genghis upper and lots of bells and whistles. It fires the new Russian 5.45 X 39 round and takes AK 74 mags. Since the upper was designed to accept AR15 mags the upper and bolt required a decent amount of machining to get them to work with the AK 74 mag. At this time it works perfect, except for a walking trigger pin that will soon be replaced. I have a 7.62 upper in the mail that is ready for my other AR47 lower, I will post pics when it is all done. Here is the AR74
