| With my pistols in .556, 6.6, 300BLK, and 350 Legend and I guess the only pistol I am missing is a .458 SOCOM. Guess I will start looking for a 10.5" long barrel. Maybe Tromix or ?? |
| No maybe about it. TROMIX is what you want. If you are going to toss a lot of 500 gr.+ subsonic bullets get the 1:10 twist. But the 1:14 will work too and is better for all bullet weights, subs and supers. |

Once in a blue moon TROMIX might have a blem or two but it’s rare. IMO if you don’t go with TROMIX you have a better than decent chance of regretting it. Especially if you don’t go with a TROMIX barrel extension and bolt. Those are the two places most .458 SOCOM barrel makers screw up. And don’t forget about enlarging the ejection port. The upper does not need a special port door cover but the port does need enlarging. |
