Hey, I’m looking at picking up an upper that’s suppressor ready. Either BCM 9” or a Giessele 8” super duty. This will be my first non 556 rifle and I know very little about 300blk or really suppressors. Please educate me. |

Not a whole lot different but they are more fun with subsonic ammo. You'll want 300 blackout specific mags for the subsonic stuff. The ogive on the bullet is too big for it to work reliably with regular 5.56 mags. Lancer makes some and I believe magpul has some now also. I know palmetto started making the psa brand 300 blk ammo now that's a bit cheaper than mainstream stuff. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ammo.html?caliber_multi_v2=.300+AAC+Blackout Oh and if you didn't know, the subsonic stuff runs from about 190 grain up to 220 grains. Supersonic ammo runs from about 110 grain to 125 grains. Other than that, just suppress it and run it! |

But you will find "cheap" (ha!) dirt blasting fmj ammo in the standard .308 weight (147gr-150gr) as well. Cheap is a relative term. |
