building one soon. what year did the poles start adding side rails on there akms? is 67 to soon? wanting a correct representation of the rifle. thanks.

Following the thread linked above, it seems you would be OK with 1967 since they used rails on the earlier milled AK's too. Unfortunately if you are trying to be as correct as possible, give up on the rail idea now. That specific rail is unobtanium.
