I found a barrel I’m considering as an upgrade, will it fit? Are these Chinese Norincos (386) very forgiving and compatible with replacement barrels? Green Mountain AK47-2GM 21.3" AK47 RPK Heavy Finned M72 Caliber- 7.62x39mm Twist Rate- 1:9.5 Length- 21.3" Profile- Please find the detailed drawing of this barrel in the photos above Finish- Chrome lined bore and chamber with a Phosphate finish Steel Type- 4140CM Thread Pitch- 14mm x 1mm LH Thank you for any info. | Tagged for expert replies. I have one and am concerned about the availability of a replacement barrel as I understand they are dimensionally different. It’s just a blaster but I have put an awful lot of cheap steel case though it. |

Usually 386 rifles are forged and 416 are stamped. Neither fit the other. Why replace a chromed lined military barrel with just a cool looking USA barrel? A SOT buddy did a finned EU barrel swap on a stamped receiver. Pretty cool but heavy. Ask on Theakforum |
