Weird YHM FH removal issue from Mak-90

I had a Norinco Mak-90 threaded 1/2x28 years ago so I could install a YHM flash hider.

I'm ready to remove the flash hider and sell the rifle but I can't get it off. There's only about a 1/8 space for a wrench.

The gunsmith that threaded and installed it didn't install a detent pin. I think he created the threads and installed it like you would on an AR.

Any ideas on a tool I can use to remove this? I don't want to damage the rifle or the flash hider.

Are you certain it’s not left hand threaded?

Yes, it's AR standard threaded. That's the flash hider that I had from YHM and that's what size would fit on the barrel.

Not to be a dick but could you call the gunsmith and ask him what tool he used to put it on with. Slim cresent worth a damn aren't common

A tool that grips the flash hider prongs or slides between them for leverage maybe?

If properly installed, that mount should have had Rocksett adhesive used to keep it from loosening up.

Soak the muzzle end in water for 24 hrs and see if that helps.
