20 years ago I didn’t jump on the $300 VZ58 bandwagon and whenever they became available I had other priorities. And the prices just kept going up. Then last summer Atlantic Arms had a sale on the standard rifles with the red beach wood furniture, they were $1300 and I finally jumped on board and bought one. I only had it to the range 2 times before selling it kind of on a whim. Wasn’t bad since I got all my back when I sold. I definitely regretted selling it since it was so much more enjoyable to shoot than an AK so I kept the spare magazines I bought. Last weekend I couldn’t sleep so I was browsing Atlantic’s web site and found myself looking at the VZ58’s again. Of course they went up in price and the red stocked ones were O/S. I kept coming back to the pistols with the brace and now that it arrived I’m glad I went with the pistol. It’s so light and compact compared to my AK47 SBR. I’m not planning on registering it as an SBR I’m gonna keep it a pistol but I’m going to switch out the brace for a folding one. Earlier tonight I ordered a pic rail adapter to attach a folding brace from Stormwerkz. BTW, I paid $1540. Here’s a picture of the 12” VZ58 pistol below my 10” PSA G3 SBR: Attached File |

I really wanted the shorter vz when they came out. I have had the vz2008 that i got for $500 back in like 2012 and have loved it. When i was in the market though the ATF was deciding to fuck around with the pistol brace rules and so i ended up with a czech made vz58 in all black instead. Though i would love to have one i really cant justify getting a third one, at least not when my interest is currently getting a belt fed. But so far i cant stomach $6k for that toy. |
