It's not very often that I take the time to build a gun for myself, but I finally got around to putting together a 13" 308 SBR. It started out as a stock sporterized 20" Saiga 308-1. The gas block was moved rearward 1.3" along with shortening the gas tube and making a new shorter gas piston/rod. Of course the barrel was cropped at 13", the old gas port was welded up, the front sight moved rearward, and the muzzle threaded M14x1.0 LH. A standard pistol grip conversion was done along with a short reset trigger, RPK windage adjustable rear sight, and custom micro AK-74 muzzle brake. I also increased the diameter of the cleaning rod to allow 8-32 female threads so it can use standard American cleaning brushes and jags. Shown here with a re-formed Fuzzy Bunny Movie Guns 20 round magazine. Back around 2005-2015 I made 5ea Saiga 308 SBR's, but all those guns had 7" barrels. I was going to send you my 308 after I got my 12ga back but got distracted as per my normal. I think It's still in the box it came in. Think I have some AGP 20's from a group buy here . I didn't like the super short barrels either. 12" seems like a good length for 308.
