| Hey guys I have a 2015 Wasr that I’m having problems with I’m not sure if it’s ammo related but any Russian ammo steel case any thing seems to run but tulammo won’t cycle or like Winchester brass won’t cycle I’ll get double feeds or stove pipes a lot f the tulammo will just straigh up stove pipe every 3rd rnd any ideas I’m leaning on new extractor and spring but I’m not positive it’s the problem any ideas guys? |

Try giving the chamber a good cleaning to remove any fouling. Inspect the ejector for wear or deformation. Clean the bolt and bolt carrier, and receiver thoroughly and apply a good lubricant. Check for any binding of the bolt and carrier in the receiver. Clean and inspect the magazine for fouling or damage.....try a different magazine. Install a new extractor, spring, and plunger. Inspect/replace the recoil spring. Lubricate it lightly. Inspect/clean the gas port in the barrel. Inspect/clean the gas tube and gas block. |

| A lot of AK cycling problems relate to excessive hammer drag on bolt carrier due to lack of an auto sear. Make sure that the back top of the hammer is rounded and smooth. Remove recoil spring, retract bolt carrier back. Point gun down and give a gentle smack on the carrier. It should go forward easily. If not, the hammer having an excessive push force, and need to be relived. |
