Took out a few of my Zastava dmr rifles this morning. These are some really good shooters, I prefer the m76 just because of the 8mm round is bad ass. I am trying to hopefully save for a Vuk suppressor at some point. I want to run one on the m91 this fall hopefully for deer and elk season. All three hit 1.3 to 1.5 inch 4” 5 shot groups with match ammo and that is with me not being the best marksman. Overall very impressive for being oversized AKs. That’s a beautiful set of rifles. Only a little jealous.  The M91 is almost a $4K rifle now.  I love my M77 - how do you feel the M91 compares? I have a deep stock of 7.62x54r for my PSL already so no ammo concerns for me. Is it really worth the nearly triple price tag?

I Struggled if I should buy the 91 or if I was making a mistake. I actually Sold my OG LaRue OBR heavy to buy the m91 and honestly really love it. We live in Northern Wyoming and at times it is -40 out and when I carry this gun in the truck I need to know it will work no matter what. I just prefer the Klash platform when it is cold, and you have to run thick gloves. It shoots right at 1.2-1.5 with match ammo for me when I am prone with bags which is really good. My PSL I can only get 3" out of with match ammo. I have cases of surplus 54R and it get around 5-8 with surplus. It is heavier than the PSL but the machine work and just overall quality is just much better. I purchased my PSLs for $650 a long time ago and they were worth every cent. But now that they are in the $2200 range, I would save a little more and get the M91. I paid $2800 without a scope right before the import ban happened. Only regret I have is I should have saved a little more and bought the one with the scope. I modded a Yugo master mount to work and it works fine but honestly the original scope is just fine. Master mount now makes a model just for the M91. I am hoping to swap the scope out for a Primary 1-8 or the new 1.5-12 scope. I really think this would be better with a more LPVO scope like originally intended. |

I need to get my M91 out some more. I've got the one with the scope, though I'm going to replace it with a lpvo, or smaller mpvo. Just want something a bit more modern. Attached File |

I’ve seen some M91s with wood and they look killer. Probably setting money on fire at that point, but when has that ever stopped any of us?

If you get a chance I would totally buy the 249s, I love mine they are a fantastic rifle. I know guys get all up in arms over them but people always are gonna be pissed about something. Mine has been a blast and if that gentleman gets the frt for it figured out… it will be awesome! Attached File I honestly just picked up the new Zastava m72 RPK and have been really impressed with it. For the price it is a great option with a alg or frt it rips. Whew, I've wanted an M249S since they came out, but I'd probably have to sell a chunk of my collection to make it happen. I haven't ruled it out but trying to pick which I'd offer up on the chopping block hurts. You're a bad influence, ha. My M77 in its current config... Attached File I love the M72 too... NIce! ha-ha I am a Zastava fan also, it seems we both have good tastes in rifles. I am with you also, I keep looking at the videos of the AOA builds with the tuned FRTs and need to figure out a way to fund one. My oldest Daughter just purchased her first truck, a 1st gen 2000 tundra and fixing it up with her is pulling all my extra gun funds for the last few months. Hopefully soon I will squirrel away some coin for one I wonder how they are looking in person. Hopefully someone on here will post pics if they have one. Sorry about the shitty grammer, nothing like one handed typing while carry boxes |
