| I remember well of the days you could get matching number kits w/ original barrels for $200 to $250. I kept all of mine, all 7 and a couple of barreless kits that have yet to be built with Romy HD & chromelined bores. Those were some fun days of buying and building. |

Add a another couple of hundred bucks for the compliance parts, which includes a NoDakSpud NDS-1P receiver with Polish markings, and voila, I have a 1300.00 practically new Polish AKMS. Mark Graham sights them in at 25 yards and tests fires in the process and that was the only time it has been shot. My one and only safe queen. Thankfully, I have a Bulgarian SSR-85C that gets used the most. I just can't get myself to shoot the UF. |

Thank you everyone! Also, those pics above of the other underfolders are awesome. I updated the OP with recent pics and had the receiver swapped for a Polish Childers and thru in a Rusky bake. |

I finally took mine out to the range to sight it in. Got it to group on target at a 100 yards before my eyes quit seeing the front post in the sun with sweat in them. Now that it is cooling off I just need to take it out once more for fine tuning. Nice shooting AK but I need a bakelite mag like yours for photo ops.

I paid $500 for a NOS all matching kit and NDS-1P receiver right around the time of the barrel ban. Paid another $300 to have it built years later. It’s one of my favorite AK’s, and I’ve owned dozens. The workmanship is top notch on Polish rifles and this one is surprisingly accurate with Tula 8M3 ammo. Attached File Attached File |
