A buddy brought me a mostly original Saiga sporter he wanted to convert. He bought the Carolina shooter supply kit. But decided it's beyond his skills. Looking at the kit, I'm wondering if there's anything better than the plastic plugs and screw on trigger guard. Without requiring a complwte refinish. I know he's just after a quick simple conversion, but I just hate half-assed jobs. He didn't ask, but I'd consider swapping the gas block for something more 74'ish. Thanks in advance. |

| Another vote for welding and doing it right. The finish on Saigas is shit anyway. At the minimum, Alumahyde II from Brownells would be better than what’s on it. Do it right the first time and throw away the plugs. The last thing that wore plugs nearly ruined the country. Don’t do that, lol! |
