I have one. The engraving on the reciever was done by a drunk orangutan, but that doesn't effect function. Factory triggers can be rough, mine developed trigger slap after a few hundred rounds, so I replaced it with a Tapco G2. No barrel threads and the bayonet lug came ground off. It isnt AR accurate, but it's good enough and 100% reliable with about 3k rds through it. I wouldn't pay today's prices for one, but that's just me. |

Have owned mine for 20 years, has always been reliable. Debanned it by threading the muzzle, and having a new gas block installed ( for bayo lug). Paid $300 for it in 2000. They are decent AK's that seem to get more popular as time goes on. $800 seems high to me but with everything going on now, who knows what anything is worth at the moment . |
| Haven't posted here in a while but perused around and saw SAR-1. Owned mine as my first AK sometime in early 2000s. Still have it with well north of 10k rounds. Never replaced an internal part or had it miss a beat. Threaded the barrel and replaced the furniture with Russian Red. Don't fire it much these days but I'll bring it out here and there to keep it somewhat active. I don't have a clue what the price of these might translate to in 2020 but as far as reliability is concerned it's the usual Romanian story for AKs, dependable without the fancy craftsmanship. |

I ordered mine in December of 1999 and paid $330 for it.... I miss those days and I fear we will never them again. I'd say $800 is a reasonable value on it. |
