What do you guys think about this rifle? https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1122575810 It's SOLD now, and wasn't/isn't mine. I was VERY tempted to buy it, but didn't. It's certainly a nice looking AK, and is a full conversion, down to the receiver-mounted rear sling swivel. Is this rifle definitely based on an SA-93 receiver? The missing "Arsenal" marking inside of the receiver's lightening cut, and missing model and importer information on the side of the receiver is concerning. Obviously, those markings could be removed, and the rifle refinished. I don't see any signs of that on this rifle though. It does appear to have the "unique" SA-93/AK-74 magazine catch, and SA-93 recoil spring guide. The numbers-matching SA-93 box adds credibility to the story. There are a lot of things on an SA-93 conversion which require expert workmanship. From cutting the lower tang slot in the receiver, to fitting the new barrel components without "wallering" out the pin holes. I didn't want to end up with a nice looking rifle that is lacking in the little details. The rifle, if well done, went for a very reasonable price. Maybe I should've, maybe good I didn't... If the new owner posts here we'd (I'd) love to hear about and see your evaluation of your new T3 AK! |
