I have a Russian bayonet (?) in my collection that has light tan (weaved/cloth/not leather) retention strap and is solid Bakelite handle and a mounting lug that isn't black or painted, it is regular metal (polished metal) and blade is like blued?. Dark staining but consistent and right past mount to handle on one side is serial #0005 and on other side is Russian sickle and hammer stamp and little star next to it on the blade itself!..i have never seen a dark stained/blued blade before the scabbard that came with it is Bakelite with leather hanger and has the usual 2 ribs and bump on it with triangle/arrow at end of scabbard. Also has "98" number on it in between ribs down from the triangle/arrow mark Can anyone help with this identification or if this is real? thanks Todd |
