I don't build but I do check in on prices sometimes, this seems like the cheapest i've seen in a while at $379.00, no furniture though, and the kits are aged pretty good, the reports I see about them say they're getting '67 and '68 kits, some with all numbers matching parts. I am in the process of building 3 Polish kits that I have had since 2012. Two are the PMKMS underfolders & one is a full stock rifle. They are matching numbered kits with all the furniture, parts & pieces except the barrel & the receivers. Finish is a little worn, but it will get it media blasted off on the painter ones & the parkerized one will get the new receiver reparked to match the rifles. The painted ones will get recoated with Norrels molykote in flat black, tuff stuff. There are armors kits that contain the some of the parts you are going to need to complete your build, like the upper & lower handguards, a gas tube & other small parts & these kits are all new parts. Finding one will be near impossible nowdays as when I bought the kits, they were $125.00 & factory sealed. Bowman's shop is about 20 miles from me & I have gotten some great kits from him over the years. Personally, I have never been to his shop, but have a friend that goes on a regular basis & gets some great deals. Good luck with your build. They make fine rifles. |
