My Tantal can't make it through a 30 round mag of 7n6 without 3 to 5 rounds not firing. Good dent in the primer and the rounds or all but 1 or 2 will fire on a second attempt. Problem occurs in other ammo I bought to rule out ammo. Silver Bear fewer FTF but still can't make it through a mag.

I changed out the hammer spring with an ALG extra power.
Same problem..

Last night I took the firing pin out and noticed a burr right where the pin that holds it is. I stoned that off and gave the firing pin a light polish.
Odds of this fixing it?
Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was your cure?

Tip of the firing pin has a good profile? You cleaned any gunk out of the firing pin channel in the bolt?

If both of those are yes I’d look at measuring the firing pin protrusion. You may be the victim of tolerance stacking of the bolt and firing pin.

Well cleaning up the burr got me almost through an entire mag..
It's at the gunsmith now being checked out..

headspace checks out. Firing pin protrusion is .005 short and pin looks like it was reshaped. Anyways new firing pin is up next. Hopefully that will cure it.

So what was it?   Firing pin?   I have a Draco that demonstrates the same symptoms.   I have replaced the hammer spring as well but it hasn’t corrected the issue.

Yes the firing pin was too short
