Picked this up last week and I am very happy with it's performance, fit and finish, and accuracy.

What mags come with it, and what mags are you intending to use?
Are they AK or AR based mags?
I haven't been following their 5.56 AK development, only their 7.62 stuff.

AR Mags. They recommend Pmags, specifically.

I am using 20 round Lancer 556 mags, the rifle ships with a 30 round Pmag.
Also took off the factory muzzle break, too heavy and loud for my liking, just using a thread protector until I find a nice small diameter flash hider, maybe just stick with the thread protector.

I hate it.  (My problem, not yours... )

I wish they would have done it with proper AK mags.  then it would be a great basis for an stg941 clone.

The ar mag well ... yuck.. i understand why -- AR mags are more common, but still...

It's confusing because they make their ak102 clone which uses proper mags.  People would buy the F out of a Weiger 941 clone.

They have 5.56 AKs that take AK mags.

Nice. I like it. PSA continues to innovate and gun owners are better off for it.

how easy is it to remove the muzzle break?
I want to replace mine with a flashhider instead.

Very easy to remove, not much force needed at all. Just secure it and give it a good whack, off it comes.

Love that rifle, how the handguards go all the way to the gas block, every AK should be made that way IMO. Simple smart useable improvement and looks better too.

I'd buy one if somebody made one, though I would prefer it to be in 7.62x39.

You might be able to make one from an AK-E if those handguards were available anywhere.

I wish they made the AK-E (and American Bastard) in 223/5.56.

Okay, you know what, i love it. @palmettostatearmory this should be your next AK clone! Your E and 556 models are already 87% there, just need to get new handguards made really.

OP, I prefer the Lancer mag to Pmags because of the metal feed lips on the Lancers. Have you had any issues with the Lancers at all?  I also heard E-lander steel mags work, I have some of those also.

ETA tried the Lancers. Fit is nice, locks easy, drops free. Next test is firing/feeding.
