With KUSA being offline and possibly out of business, what are the options for a traditional “Russian” looking stock for SBRing a KP9 pistol… That will lock-up properly in both the deployed and folded positions? If nothing is available, can either a Russian or Bulgarian metal triangle stock be reworked to fit the KP9? If so, who would be the “go to” place to have this work done? Honestly, I hope that KUSA will work out their issues and return back into the fold within the American “AK world.” Thanks for looking! |

You don't need to 'rework' anything for a stock to fit, it's a standard folding AK stock. I have a plastic AK100 series folding stock on mine. You just need to make sure you get a stock with the correct pivot pin size. There are two sizes (I forget which the KP9 has off the top of my head); get the right size, install and you are golden. |

How do you keep it locked in the folded position on your KP/KR9 ?? |

The KP9 uses a latch button on the front of the receiver and catch on the stock and not the latch that is in the lower front of a side folder 74 style catch. You have to "fabricate" the latch catch on the standard stock - I have a Bulgarian triangle on mine and I am about to try to do this. Modify picture frame hanger hardware - grind, file re-shape, paint and affix to top of stock in the right location - this is similar to what the KP 9 stock has.  |
