 If you're familiar with the ZPAP 92 underfolder, you know that there is a picatinny rail attached to the dustcover right in front of the rear sight. Mounting an optic on the rail does not allow you to use the iron sights. I've been looking for a mounting plate for the T1 or T2 optic that either screws into the dustcover or that can be welded onto the dustcover. Ideally, that setup permits use of both iron sights and the optic. The only thing I've found close to what I'm looking for are the HB Industries AK/AKM Direct Mount Optic Plates (Weld On). I've written to the company to see about compatibility, but I'm wondering whether there are other options out there. Pic for reference. |

Stormwerkz makes a mount for the 85/92 that replaces the factory rail. RTG has them for 50 bucks. Probably have to drill and tap if you don't have the rail, but if you do it probably is a direct replacement. They have them for several different optics but the RMR is listed. I plan on trying one on my 92 since it is an early model without the rail. |
