Here's my new to me CAI AKMS under folder. Okay don't burn me too bad on this one because it was an impulse buy. I usually avoid century. Everything looks straight and what wear there is is even internally. Action is smooth and sights look straight. Came with 4 mags and 150 rds of ammo. A brief test fire was without issue.

Thanks. I'm in for about five bills. So far the only issue is the follower in one mag is sticking half way. Pulled it apart and cleaned it but it's still hanging so I need to pull it back apart to see what's going on.
I'm thinking about adding an ultimak w/ red-dot and another grip. Plan to shoot it some more before making too many mods. |

Not much activity here in the Polish section so I thought I'd update my original post.
I profiled the hammer and cleaned/greased the action. I changed the grip yet again to a Magpul I dyed. Added a ultimak rail along with a TRS 25. I have a primary dot on order. Oh and added a homemade sling. Pic from the range yesterday.

Just a bit of a range report. The irons are just off hitting to the right of the outer circle on the targets. I will have to move the site drum but didn't have anything to do it at the range. I was able to get the dot close to being sited in. Here's a mag of Tula at 50 yds bracing on the mag firing as fast a I could get the dot back on target.

Good shooting. That's definitely good enough for man-sized targets. Do you like having your red dot that far forward, though? It always throws me off (like I have to squint at it to get it lined up that far forward), whereas something closer to my eye is more natural. It looks like it didn't slow you down. |
