We have just completed a shortened version of our popular Intrafuse Vertical Grip. The short version is 3.125" tall and allows for storage of (1) 123A battery. Best of all... the grip allows for mag changes of 30 round mags. As you can see in the image below, there is ample room for the mag to pivot in and out without contacting the grip.

Got mine, yesterday. I don't have it on my AK I have it on my AR.
Hope to put a few rounds threw it Saturday. Walked around the house with it and seems like everything is good. Mounted easily and tightened down really good. I don't hold the vertical grip I use it for an index to put my hand in the same place, that's why I wanted a shorty. But there is enough room for my hand to hold it. I'll throw it on my AK, today and let you know how it feels on the AK and if you really can load the AK mags. Haven't tried to put any batteries in it, yet. |

Okay, let me first say that I am not a Tapco basher like some. I have Tapco furniture on my AK and now the shorty vertical grip on my AR.
I put the shorty vertical grip on my AK and in the position they show in the pics where the VG is all the way to the rear, I could not get my Tapco 30 round magazine in the gun. If I run it completely forward on the rail, everything works find. For me, that doesn't work cause my arms are not long enough to support the VG that far out. So, if that helps anyone then I'm glad I could help. |
| Just got one. Love it. Been doing a few drills with it and I've found that it actually makes mags chances EASIER. I suppose it kind of acts as a magazine well on AKs, letting you know how far angled it has to be without over-angling it. Built sturdy enough upon first glance, and the rubber pad at the bottom is a nice touch. It keeps your mags from clacking against it when reloading. |
