This absolutely kills me. I'd give a nut to find one at a practical price ($1k or under) with a romanian scope, but we all know those days are long gone.
I still hope I find some old time who has one stashed away not concerned with the ridiculous inflated market price of these things currently and sells it for a deal. Been one of my favorite rifles since I was a teenager. Always thought about using it for a whitetail rifle as well. How bad ass would it be to have a picture with a nice 8 point holding a PSL over it.... A guy can dream. |
| You aren't missing out. I've had 3 Cugirs and 2 TGI kit guns. I wanted to love them, but they just aren't very good at anything. Uncomfortable harsh shooters with AK type accuracy that use crap combloc optics. I was happy to dump mine for a couple hundred more than I paid for them. Don't look at them as cheap NDM's, because they're not in the same league, not even the same sport. The TGI kit guns, in my limited experience, were exceptional pieces of shit and should be avoided. PSL for $1500 is completely overpriced for what it delivers. At $700 it was easier to excuse the crude machining and 3-5 MOA accuracy. If you're looking for a wall hangar, they can look good from 5 feet. There are so many better shooting options; 308 VEPR is such an upgrade in shooting experience that it baffles me as to why anyone would buy a PSL. Good old supply and demand. |

I got talked into buying one years ago buy my LGD, tried it seemed forever to find a replacement stock set to replace the garbage that was on it. It sat at the back of
the safe until 2016 and I finally got a set of Rhineland on it and shitcanned the horrible scope for a Kalashnaoptics mount and new scope, it also wears a bipod as well. I can't believe how far up and away the brass gets thrown, accuracy is nominal. |

Compared to everything else I have it's a bit long to transport in a backpack so mine will be getting a folding stock and a shorter muzzle device. I've already shortened the barrel to 21." Internally, my gun looks rough...but the thing shoots pretty damn well. As always, YMMV. |
The current batch of Romanian PSL Rifles are very nice but unfortunately the price is not . Surprisingly we have shipped quite a few of them out to clients and thus far no negative feedback .

It's a cool gun for sure but the accuracy was garbage, like a group around 3" was the best I ever saw him get and he's a pretty good shot. I'm sure ammo is a factor there but there's not exactly a huge selection to choose from. Sniper, match grade, or even quality ball ammo nets better results. Accuracy typically falls off as the barrel heats up as well. |
