New guy here. I've fired a few AK's along the way (USMC Retired), but never owned one until now (age 61). PSA had it for $899 over Father's Day, and I pulled the trigger. Being a lefty, I filed a left-hand notch in the slant brake. Zero'd at 100 yards with the rear sight set at "1". 3-3.5" groups at 100 with Tula 122gr FMJ. Did some rock plinking at 400 and 600 yards. The rear sight set to those ranges put me way over the target. I was on target at 600 yards, with the rear sight on "4". Maybe I need to set the sight using the battlesight method to get things right. I'm going to try that next go round. I'm very happy with my choice. Rifle has the FN barrel and ALG trigger. Magpul furniture. I might swap out the Zhukov stock for an M4 style though. Being a lefty, that folder hinge is almost on my nose. I replaced the slant brake with a PSA Tank Brake. It's very smooth shooting, brass only flies 8-10 feet away. A couple pics,   Shane |

Congrats, for a shooter AK- its top tier. One thing you are going to have to decide on with the folding, as a lefty/ I prefer a RH folder for ease of deployment, all my folders are RH folders, yes; on most you deal with the hinge- but I hate deploying a Left side folder, as a LH shooter |

The folder is kind of cool, but not something I really need. A simple M4 buttstock with a Magpul MOE SL-K is the direction I'm going. I have that stock on a couple AR's and it's pretty functional and minimal at the same time. |

Nice rifle. For the price, those tank brakes cant be beat. And are on par or better than brakes costing double or 3x their cost. Not trying to be a jerk, but you do know that stock expands in length? If you extend it out, your nose shouldn't be on the hinge. Some people hate those stock, but they work great for me.

Very smooth shooting. Yeah I know it's extendable. I had it all the way out while shooting prone. I do like that adjustability for length of pull. It's pretty stiff to slide though, I'm hoping it will loosen up after a bit of use. |
