Asking for expertise in replace/repair on my 1990 Tantal "Tapco" trigger that has to be pushed forward after firing as it will not reset.
Really great AK and like it too much to sell but what a surprise on what I considered a reliable, low round count Tantal. Visually nothing looks broken, or loose. Are better trigger groups (ALG?) a recommendation ? Many Thanks Gents! |

I really liked the Tapco triggers better than the ALS. Easier with the 2 stage pull than the ALS.
Check the trigger return & disconnector springs. |

And make sure both legs of the spring are over the trigger "tails" like they're supposed to be. I had a trigger problem on my WASR like you describe, and it was because one of the spring legs was not over the side of the trigger like it's supposed to be. Found this image via Google search (not my pic) showing both spring legs over the trigger tails.

Are you using a Tantal hammer spring?
If so, you might be missing the separate trigger return spring. 
The Tantal hammer spring doesn't go up over the back of the trigger and the placement of the safety would kind of interfere with the right leg anyways. |
