This appears to be an M14 magazine modified for use in a 7.62 NATO AK pattern rifle. Does anyone recognize it? I’ve read that the original Yugoslavian M77 and M90 rifles imported by Mitchell Arms lacked enough magazines and they ended up having M14 magazines modified to work. Armalite sat on a ton of USGI M14 mags for later conversion for AR10s and sold them after the expiration of the AWB. I wound up with ten of them. There does not appear to be a manufacturer mark where manufacturer marks tended to be on USGI mags. Could be A ROC T57 or ChiCom mag. Did find a thread. |

| This is definitely not an Armalite AR-10 magazine. Those early AR-10 magazines have the lugs on the front and back removed and a notch cut into the side for the normal AR-15/AR-10 style magazine catch. Interestingly, there was also a Taiwanese (ROC marked) M16 magazine in the same lot. |
