Hello all, I got one of those BFPU Romanian AKs from Atlantic and I wanted to make it at least somewhat resemble an original from the year it has listed (1975). So far I'm rocking a 74 style brake (which I only got because the triangle brake was ugly but I may put it back on) and a green Romanian Nylon sling (no idea if its legit but they were 8.99 so I got 3 ). Does anyone have any information about what was standard by 1975?

Post a pics of your AK.  The AK in the middle is a Romanian Sar-1. I built the other 4 Romanian AKs. The one on the far left has an un-refinished buttstock on it. Note the black paint. The majority of the Romanian G kits that came into the USA 25 years ago had that black stripe on the buttstock. Ignore the 5.45 Polish Tantal. I didn't build that one. |
