I want to know if it is legal to change the stock to the ati strike force collapsible and side folder stock?. In my state it is not illegal to have a collapsible or side folder as long as the barrel is at least 16 inches. But I dont know about this rifle because it was an import during the ban. |

Short answer, yes it's legal Federally so long as it is indeed legal in your state. You will need to comply with 922r. Essentially, you have to make it "American made" by definition first. Threaded barrel? You need 6 US parts. Non threaded barrel? You need 5 US parts. G2 kit is a cheap fix (trigger. hammer. disconnector) Other easy/cheap swaps, magazine followers and floor plates. That would get you 5 parts. If you do US furniture the grip, stock and forearm count as 3 pieces. The forearm need both parts to be US made to count. You can also do the piston or muzzle device. |
