MI AK-MDM mini dot mount (Page 2 of 2)
| Maybe I'm over thinking this but with the set screw for windage I have to zero the irons with the optic off the mount, then install the optic to the mount and co-witness it. I just picked one up from Midway it looks good feels sturdy but I can't figure the best way to zero. |

Hey Troy, I have a Draco SBR with approximately a 10" sight radius and I am currently using the standard front sight post... Do you think the notch cut for the rear sight on this unit will be too narrow given the shortened sight distance? I read earlier you had a Mini Draco on hand so if it works for the Mini it will definitely work for my C model, but I would like to know for sure prior to ordering.
Also, would you recommend your handguard mount over this mount for a rough use rifle? I will be using an RMR and I watched Military Arms Channel's review and he noted that the sight was not intended for heavy use... I don't want a mount that is any less rugged than the sight itself or the rifle I'm putting it on. Thanks in advance for your help. |
