I broke the wood that covers the gas tube. What other wood parts fit on a MAK 90 with a slant cut milled receiver? Thanks |

Many will fit - just not look correct. The gas tube does the holding (along with the rear ferule part of the gas tube). You can find these listed here and theakforum The key is to clamp the end flats of the gas tube in a vise and carefully rotate the wood part 180, then wiggle off gently. |

Thanks, I forgot about that forum. Damn thing sat in the safe for 20 years. First day out and the cover freaking broke. Stripped the rifle down for cleaning and I drop the cover on the floor. I saw it as it hit.  I didn't think it would break still assembled. The wood does seem a bit cheap. |

Poly parts usually were a different color - blond or brown. Norinco parts tended to be orangish. Handguards |
