Help identifying Maadi AKM importer

Can someone tell me more about this maadi? It has a NJ engraved which would imply it is one of the rarer styer ones, but it has knox engraved. Is it etched with NJ later on to try to add value?

AAC/INTRAC was the importer, in Knoxville. Where are you seeing NJ?

It was a once-destined-for Steyr receiver that got a facelift during the AWB era, that's all.

My guess is lots of 'em were. It doesn't change the quality, desirability or value of an Intrac IMO.
