I havent done much with AKs in a while, but I have a AKMS undetfolder in the rack that hasn't moved in a while. Its a great gun but I dont really like the underfolder that much and it would get more use with a collapsible stock. Im looking for a CAA or Polenar style adapter, I don't want to drill any holes into the receiver so I can go back to the underfolder if I want. They were available not too long ago but everywhere I've looked is out of stock. Anyone have a lead on where I can get one of these from a reputable source?

Fit is tight but it was easy to install. The rear block portion is oversized and the bottom corners were sharp so I knocked them down with a file. Overall the goal was achieved. OAL has been reduced 1 3/4" from the OEM underfolder. No permanent modification has been made and it can be returned to factory configuration in about 20 min. The rifle is a very nicely made Armory USA AKMS (11), dont want to permanently modify it, might want/need a underfolder again later. ETA: there is zero discernible movement in the adapter. It feels like the other fixed stock guns |

Wish there was a better stock ecosystem than the buffer tube system this doesn't seem oo bad. I guess 1913 is getting better but usually not as comfortable as AR stocks. Underfolders aren't that bad to shoot (for me) unless I plan on training with one all day. It is good to know this exists but my underfolder is for if I ever need a rifle when riding in something small like a Tank or Honda civic. |
