Where is the best place to find a KP-9 original black polymer forend, pistol grip, and brace? A quick google search and search on this page turned up nothing. Thanks in advance. |

The Kalashnikov USA KP-9 uses standard AK forends/gastube covers, pistol grips, and I think 5.5mm(?) sidefolding stocks. My guess is Kalashnikov USA was simply sourcing stuff here in the USA from another company and not making it in house, so a standard black handguard, that particular type of pistol grip (I forget the name, but I think Arsenal may carry them) and a 5.5 mm sidefolder (or it might be a 4.5mm sidefolder) brace which I think PSA may offer will get you set up like you want. As for KUSA original furniture, as far as I know they were liquidated in bankruptcy, and you aren't going to find their stuff anywhere I am aware of. Sven Manticore Arms |

The bottom handguards are a little different. Specifically, that rear tab that insert into the receiver. Will need some significant fitting, but should work. ETA: Hmm, not sure now as I recall I added a magpul handugard to mine. I'd have to go look, and I am too lazy to do that, so ignore my post. Sorry! |

Sven Manticore Arms They definitely weren't making anything. Some of the paperwork from the legal fallout showed them owing money to a company called indomim. IIRC, the parts invoice showed country of origin on parts. Some were US and some were indian. They do use a 5.5mm stock, but the lockup is different. If you just put on a standard 5.5mm stock, it wont latch folded. It will work fine with a zenitco stock, because those have their own lock. |
