AKRIVA is releasing a gas blowback airsoft Type 56 replica. Looks very similar externally to the old Real Sword AEGs. Wouldn't surprise me if they had some connection to Real Sword for the external bits and just stuffed their own gas system into it. If you're not familiar with Real Sword, they were based in China and their whole shtick was making VERY realistic Type 56 replicas. To the point that, while I can't confirm it, ALOT of the parts looked like they were just straight up grabbed off a Type 56 production line. Would make sense. Why make parts that are a perfect replica of the real thing when the factory in the next town over is already making the real thing for probably cheaper than you could. And being a gas gun, more of the parts should be compatible with the real ones. Might be a good source for various hard to find Chinese bits that we all want. Like the 56-2 sidefolding stocks.  AKRIVA type 56-2 GBB So far they're showing Type56 fixed stock spikers, 56-1 underfolders, and 56-2 sidefolders. RedWolf Airsoft link Don't expect them to show up at US retailers any time soon, so unfortunately you're paying $650ish for the gun, plus shipping from Asia, plus tariffs. So still paying out the nose if you're just gonna strip it for a stock or something. But figured some might be interested. Maybe the parts we want might become available to buy individually as spares at some point. |
