After the GL-MAG M4 stock was introduced, there was so much interest in an AK version, both from US shooters and from foreign military customers that we are now introducing the GK-MAG AK buttstock! The GK-MAG stock is designed to work with our fixed, folding, and recoil-compensating AK stock systems, and holds an extra magazine, ready for use. Purpose: • Keeps an extra magazine on the rifle. Includes a 10 round 7.62x39 AK magazine. Will accept most other standard 7.62x39 AK magazines. • For self or home defense purposes, it keeps an extra magazine on the rifle in a situation in which most people do not have a good way to carry spare magazines. • For LE or military purposes, the GK-MAG can be used to keep a magazine with an unloaded rifle. • For a patrol car or truck gun, it ensures that at least one magazine never gets separated from the rifle. • For hunting purposes, it allows a hunter to carry different types of ammunition for different circumstances or game. • For law enforcement and military, it allows the ready carry of a different type of ammo, such as tracers, barrier penetrating loads, etc. • If the spring and follower are removed from the magazine, it can be used to carry cleaning supplies, extra parts or tools, batteries, or survival equipment. • It does not get in the way of shooting, move around, or catch on stuff like a mag pouch attached to a rifle will. For me this stock has its greatest value for home defense purposes, for a patrol rifle, or for a truck gun. For home defense or for a truck gun, it positively keeps a magazine on the weapon. I prefer to use a 20 round magazine in the stock, and if I couple two 30 rd magazines in the rifle, this gives me 80 rounds on the weapon any time I pick it up. For patrol rifle, it has the same benefits as above. It can be used to carry a different type of ammo. For example, the officer can keep a well designed anti-personel round in the magazines in his rifle and in his vest, but carry a good barrier-penetrating load in the magazine in the GK-MAG. Many officers today are well-equipt with vests or plate carriers with multiple mag pouches, good ways to store and organize equipment in a patrol car, and ready backup. Others, though often have very little special gear and the stuff they do have just rides loose in the trunk of their patrol cars. Some operate alone with little or no chance for immediate backup. In these cases, an extra magazine on the rifle can make a big difference. One of the things I like most about the GK-MAG stock is that it does not look like an M4 stock, so I can have a collapsible stock on my AK that does not look like it belongs on an AR-15. | The GK-MAG is currently built for 7.62x39 mags. It is not yet available for AK-74 rifles. It could likely be fit for 5.45 mags, but I have not modded one yet, so no promises. |

Relax, we don't expect everyone to like it. The world would be a boring place if our ideas of beauty were all the same!  To be honest, I did not like the GL-MAG stock when I first saw the prototype photos. Then I put one on a rifle and and found I kind of like it. On the other hand, I liked the looks of this GK-Mag stock from the start. It is not M4-looking on the AK

To be honest, I did not like the GL-MAG stock when I first saw the prototype photos. Then I put one on a rifle and and found I kind of like it.
