I never came across a Russian Krink in 5.45 in either Iraq or Astan in all my years there. However, have seen the M92 Yugoslav M92: The Serbian 7.62x39mm Pseudo-Krink |

Meanwhile some beat to hell kits had excellent barrels, because the guy using it actually cleaned it. Since they were heavily used in their civil war, training probably varied from very good to zero… But most of that batch had seriously corroded barrels. It fucking sucked, but especially on a kit that was damn near new… However- none of the M92 kits that I saw were from fielded weapons- they were brand new M92’s, just demilled…. |

But if true, it would rank pretty high on the list of bad decisions regarding military small arms….because those rifle barrels got trashed by their corrosive ammo use and neglect. Not sure why someone would feel that regular cleaning would be a thing under actual combat conditions, when every other AK maker thought differently… And if they wanted to keep costs low, seems like making more AB1 (regular wood stock) and less AB2 underfolders might have been the way to do it? Has to cost more to make UF components. There sure were a lot of UF kits. |
