I have a wood stock spiker AK47S imported by FTC of Woodland Hills. Serial number is only 4 digits, no prefixes or letter codes, just "00XX". Only the receiver, carrier and bolt are numbered. My little research shows a variety of conflicting info. 70's vs 80's dates, some references to importing them as Hollywood props. Was the rifle made in the early 80's? There is NO arsenal marking anywhere that I can find. Does this rifle predate Poly Technologies? Any features to look for that would indicate which arsenal made it? The receiver bluing has numerous very light rub marks that do not cut through to bare steel, but the wood is mint. If anybody has an FTC is their bluing similiar on the receiver?   |
