Aftermath of a painting party. This is my converted 5.45 Saiga. I think the sidefolder is E. German, it has the little lever you push to lock in either position. I rather like the Tapco Saiga rifle forearm, gives a little more handroom up front and gives the weapon a different outline, which I enjoy. Optic mount is a super-cheap UTG throw lever type and the red dot is a NCStar which was dead on out of the box and has survived dozens of magdumps and rides in the back of a pickup over rough terrain without any noticeable drift in POA/POI. Not bad for a $30 optic. |

My latest project- a short Wz88 Tantal. I call it the Tantal-105. With the brake permanently installed the barrel will be 16.5". ETA: I understand NYS law. The above picture is only a mockup held together with tape and gravity. The "barrel" is a demilled gas piston inserted to hold the muzzle brake in place. When completed the rifle will use a Warsaw Pact length fixed stock. |

$200 something Century I got off the EE a while ago. No stock, just barrel and receiver plus internals. Polish underfolding stock and trunnion that's been sitting in my closet for 3 years. Sent out to a smith and there ya go It's nothing fancy. Gonna shoot it for awhile and see how I like it. I may rebuild it on an LLC receiver with a real bulgy barrel. Maybe even an SBR 105 type....who knows. However, if I do like it, definitely going to do the 74 LLC receiver if its as fun as I think it will be. |

Is this a registered NFA rifle? SOT type thing? If not, you might want to take the pics down or have the rifle rebuilt on a different receiver.
