By the time you buy all those pieces of flair to try and polish that turd you could have bought a better rifle. I feel like I have a good handle on AKs. Contracting in 3 different wars I’ve shot a lot of them because I usually just had a pistol. Ive shot a Nork, Iranian, Egyptian, Chinese, Romanian, Polish, Hungarian, and more Russian than I could guess. They are all varying degrees of garbage. Do I want one over a 9mm pistol? You bet your ass. But it is what it is and it is closest to perfection with laminate wood furniture. Maybe a Bulgy style side folder. But thats it. Putting AR buffer tubes and magpul shit and pic railed top covers is just fucking ridiculous. AKs are $200 peasant rifles. That shitty adapter did you a favor. Buy a wood furniture set and learn to run an AK without training wheels |
There are thousands of these pistols out in shooters hands and we see 1 issue posted , That does not make all of them crap . Every company can have a bad this or that here and there but the problem shown above is not the Norm. Overall Zastava Arms USA also has great customer service and they work hard to take care of factory defect issues . I am sure that the OP is upset about the issue but problems like this can be approached in a better manner. AK-47 Pistol |

I had never even shot a rifle-caliber pistol before and was expecting more of a monster, but it shot great and was on the money at 25 yards right out of the box. |

This is funny. I didn't think my Friday morning could get better... reading your comments is as hysterical as the state of the union address that "whats his face" did the other night. "you broke an aftermarket part...fuckin' Zastavas". This is my first time into the AK side of this website. I am totally virgin to all of this. I was playing with one at my shop the other day... and I think I want one now. I feel like this is one of those shiny spoons that is distracting me. Ironically enough the Zastavas are what my local shop has in stock. I need to find useful info on the design of the firearm. I want an education similar to what I've received on AR's. Does that exist anywhere? I don't want to fuel the fire, but If your purchasing an AK... wouldn't you want to keep it "accurate" to the pressed metal and wood design? I think that's the route I am following. |
