It's not an super-accurate platform so no need for a higher magnification, lightwieght, no batteries or switches, leupy toughness and lifetime guarrantee.... But the coolest part is the speed with which this thing acquires a target!!! Just point your rifle and its there...shoot both eyes open and no standard scope "tunnel-vision"....almost as fast as a red dot, but more accurate... |

Thought I would take some pics and give a little review of the differences between the Arsenal SGL31-94 and the Arsenal/Fime SGL31-95.
First off... they are both amazing Russian AK74M style rifles... Fime 95 on the top, Arsenal 94 on bottom. 
Initially you can see a slight finish difference between the folder button/latch. 
Also, the finish on the Arsenal US 74 brake is much better on the Fime rifle, the early ones had such a "shiny black" finish and it marked and scratched really easily. 
Stocks... Fime top, Arsenal bottom... 
Fime Markings... note the lack of Izhmash mark on the front trunion and the additional mark on the receiver... 
Arsenal SGL31-94 Markings... (sorry about the "hair" from the safe, not a scratch) 
Fime SGL31-95 Receiver Markings... 
Arsenal SGL31-94 Receiver Markings... Much cleaner markings here... 
Front sights... Fime Left, Arsenal Right.... Both rifles were perfectly straight. 
Rear sights, note the difference. Fime left, Arsenal Right. 
All in all both rifles are fantastic, the stocks fold equally smoothly and the action is just a touch better in my opinion on the Arsenal Rifle. Both well worth the coin IMO. Edit: One of them is destined to be a 105 clone ala Tx-Zen's 105. |
