Are there shops that make custom AK barrels? Have an out of production Yugo M85NP (556) that someone made a new SS barrel for me like a decade ago with 1/2-28 threads that stick out past the M26 FSB to allow for a FH/suppressor - but after getting it installed (years ago) it turns out the gas port is HUGE and the threads were cut non-concentric, loose/out of spec, the machinist crunched the barrel tip during that process, and I believe the chamber is a bit out of spec; but functioning fine. So it's inaccurate, janky, and un-suppressable which defeats the whole purpose. So - does anyone make custom AK barrels and I guess more specifically for the Yugo (556) platform? |
