Edited to share, I had a Size C drill in one of my indexes - came out perfect and seems to work fine! For the price, worth the effort to drill hole. The parts are nickel boron coated for wear resistance which is a nice touch. a decent deal if you are handy. I still think I'd like to know if a 1/4" drill would be excessive or work fine if anyone would happen to know. I picked up a PSA FCG. ETA - This set https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-custom-ak47-enhanced-polished-nickel-boron-fire-control-group.html Overall finish is very nice however it is peculiar that the sleeve will not fit the trigger holes. The disconnector hole appears to be .242" The Sleeve appears to be .237-.238" The Trigger hole is 0.234" or likely a 15/64" hole. The trigger hole needs to be opened a hair more - I am thinking one needs to get a size B drill bit (.2380") but it appears C size (.2420") bit is what was likely used for the disconnector and would match? Does it matter? Size C and B aren't as common - but can be had online reasonably enough Is 1/4" way too big? A common 1/4" bit (.2500) is probably too sloppy/large and cause problems? |
