Hello, Long time listener, first time caller. I need a pro tard wrangler to help me out with the PSL muzzle brake. I am trying to remove the muzzle brake on my new Century PSL. I plan to move my dead air wolverine from my 300BO Krink over to the PSL if I can get the dang muzzle device off. I was able to remove the weld and get the pin out, no problem. I hit the brake with a torch, put it in the vise, tried to use a wrench on the flats, and hammered it with a punch. I cannot get it to budge.  I am worried I am going to break something if I keep beating on it, so looking for advice on the best way to get the muzzle brake off.Is it possible that it is so tight on the FSB that it is stuck against it, and I am just drifting the front sight? If that happens, is it possible to drift the FSB back once I get the muzzle device swapped? Any advice is much appreciated! |

I wish I had checked this thread before trying to carefully get the brake off without damaging the threads. I finally got it to break loose, and it just spins all the way around. I cut it with a Dremel, and was able to remove it. I read on another forum that the newer Century PSLs have 14x1LH threads under the pinned brake. Thanks for confirming the new PSLs are pressed on. It's good info for anyone wanting to suppress the PSL.Now to thread the barrel so I can mount my Wolverine. I'm looking at the die kit from Carolina Shooter Supply for 14x1LH w/ TAT, annular cutter kit, and 7.62 pilot. https://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/SAIGA-AK47-7-62-THREADING-DIES-AND-ALIGNMENT-TOOL-p/css-762-threadingkit2.htm Has anyone threaded a PSL? |

No. But I’ve used the Carolina annular cutter to precut a barrel to be threaded. A FAL, Galil and AKs. It works, just go slow and use thread cutter. Be aware, it’s not going to be perfect concentric for a suppressor, although you might get lucky. |
