I have several Bulgarian (12 to be exact) steel 30 round mags new in packaging and I am about to order a PSAK 103. Will they work? I sold my WASR10 a few years ago and forgot I still had the Bulgy mags. Been wanting another AK and given the good reviews I have seen on PSA AKs I figured I would give them a try. I like the 103 style. I am guessing the Magpul mags are good to go. I am planning on getting a few of the Pmags that have the steel reinforced locking lugs. |

| I have a 104. I have metal mags, pmags, and PSA slab sides. The only ones I didn't need to file a little are the PSA Slabside mags. |

I prefer the steel reinforced poly commercial Bulgarians. They are what I use in my PSA 103. I’ve got 20 black that fit like a dam glove with literally no movement. I bought several green from another retailer and they had some poly overmold right under the front lug I had to file off so they would fit, but they fit like a glove as well. | The only mags that gave me trouble were circle 10 Bulgarian mags. The back corner of the feed lips hit the center support just enough to keep it from locking in. I took a flat file through the mag well and took a few thousands off the center support then put blueing liquid on it. Can’t tell I modified it at all and ALL MAGS fit now. |

I run exclusively KCI steels and bulgarian commercial polys. Both work fine. I also have some US Palm mags as well as some serbian poly BHO mags. The US Palm mags require some ass to get them seated but they work. As a user stated above, buy some bulgy polymer mags. |

I ran into an issue with a new Romanian 75 round drum. It will not lock in on my PSA AK-103. |

| If you get something that doesn’t fit, take off the top over and bolt carrier, see where it isn’t fitting and hit that spot with a file. It’s a pain but I have had to do it for every kind of ak/mag combo, there is always one that doesn’t want to fit or play nice, even between different guns of the same model. |

| Just updating. All my Bulgarian metal mags work 100%. The Magpul metal lug versions work as well after a little filing on the rear lugs. The plastic lug Magpul had several failures to feed. I purchased a 75 round drum but haven’t been to the range with it yet. It does however lock in just fine and there is no interference with the action. A friend of mine gave me six metal ComBloc 30rnd mags I have yet to try out as well. One has a bolt bolt open follower. All metal, no plastic. |
