Trying to install a Fostech Bumpski on my Romanian AES 10B. I read that I need to file down the aluminum on the Bumpski stock in order for it to fit into the receiver? It does not fit into the receiver, which makes sense if the RPK receiver is build heavier than standard AK’s. What’s the best way to file that aluminum on the stock down? Wire wheel? Thanks everyone. Well first off, welcome to arfcom, interesting first post! Yep, the RPK uses 1.5mm sheet metal for the receiver as opposed to the customary 1mm used on AKM's. So you'll need to remove .25mm on all sides. I would use sandpaper wrapped on a sanding block to assure a nice flat square cut, go slow and check often and use calipers repeatedly to know how much material you are removing. Tagging for pics.
