So for you younger ARFcommers, back in 2010 Copes Distributing (and others too I'm sure) imported "Bulgarian" AK74 magazines....which turned out to be Russian magazines with the markings scrubbed and a thick (THICK) coat of black paint applied to them.

Would these be worth anything to collectors? I was thinking of selling them or trying to trade them for some Circle 10s.

Since we,re never going to get any surplus from russia and Ukraines at war with them and since most of the old commie block has changed calibers and liquidated their surplus, the only russian plums will be these painted bootleg mags.  ALL i,VE EVER GOTTEN WERE PLUM and most are in good shape they,re nice mags.  But to take the crap paint off is a pain. So, basically if you want a real russian mag and willing to strip the paint they can be a decent deal, but not if you have the aresenal marked and stamps its not, just my opinion.
