Seems that gunmag warehouse has Bulgarian 45rd 5.56 mags in stock now. I'm probably going to have to grab a couple to try. Attached File |

Beat me to posting it, but I've liked this line of Bulgarian mags frm GMW so far, so I'll probably get a couple in green and black to test too. Someone needs to bring a 5.56 RPK to the market.  This is a golden age for 5.56 AK mags! ETA - I found this idly searching 5.56 RPKs - it's loooong out of production in Serbia but damn, I'd be on that like white on rice if Zastava USA could get them to tool up for it. Attached File |

I almost traded into one last year but decided against it. I didn't hear if they had problems. I wanted a regular sam5 but heard they had problems. As for the 45 rounders I see the FDE resemble bakelites so I ordered one and a black. I wish they had that color in the 30 round variety to go with my psa 101 afghan 74 clonish rifle. |
I ordered a few of the 30rd mags earlier this year. Not knowing anything about AKs or mag compatibility issues. But they were cheap enough to try. Guess I lucked out.  I just ordered a handful more of the 30rd mags in different colors, passed on the 45rd mags but maybe I should grab a couple for good measure. |
