What did I just inherit? I know it's a MAK91 and it shoots communist anti-freedom seeds. That is the extent of my AK knowledge.

"National Match" MAK91, as pictured. 18" barrel (~2" longer than the MAK90), milled receiver, should be an angle-cut rear under the stock. Good shooters but not easy to upgrade, they have a good amount of value if you decide to sell.

My first AK I bought maybe 20 years ago I found used and abused in a pawn shop. Mak90 with iron wood stock set that I used some combination of RIT dye. Haven’t shot it much lately but I took it out this past weekend. Still a great shooter.

Lawman that wood turned out Beautiful. I put a lot of work into redoing mine and not nearly as nice as yours. Re-welded and De-banned Mak-90.

IA.CO import Norinco marked 56 (no S after) I got last week. Wood and receiver cover are Soviet. Bayonets are East German and North Korean.
