The manufacturing work does look a bit wonky in the pics, but I decided to buy a set to see them in person and will report back. I am hoping some of the contouring just makes them look a bit odd in pics, and that they look OK in person. Sven Manticore Arms |

We (Manticore) may have stumbled on a source to have wood furniture made, I am going to talk to them in the next week or two and see if we can't get some galil wood forends and grips into production as a test run to see what they can do. I bought mine when the first email went out from Atlantic. The handguard and grip arrived quickly -at the time only maple wood was available. Overall it’s a decent handguard, no heat shield or rivets present -all wood. The set I got looks slightly better than the pic on their website, but it’s still not the look of a real galil wood handguard. I’d definitely be in the market for a 1:1 copy of the real galil handguard and grip. Hope to see one soon. |

For the record, I cannot recommend the Atlantic Firearms stocked wood galil forend and grip, they just are...chintzy. Like they are handmade by a guy overseas without a jig to keep his cuts straight and even. I regret spending the money on them. Sven Manticore Arms P.S. I have been super busy and haven't had a chance to talk to the guy who might be able to machine them for us, but there is a good chance I will see him tomorrow. |

I saw the email from Atlantic showing the ARM handguard with the bipod cutout was available. I thought that it didn't look quite right, and there's no option to buy just the handguard, so I passed. I'll stick with my ugly plastic parts kit handguard until I come across a factory wood close lookalike. |

I was able to talk to my guy about possibly making galil furniture. I need to get things modeled up in the computer and a few other things done before we can make any actual parts, but I will keep you guys updated!
