Anyone know if Russian plum mags can be cleaned up/polished to get rid of scratches and whatnot? Ordered an AK74 from PSA and would kind of like to have at least one nice and glossy looking plum mag. All the plum mags I see available seem to be in kind of rough shape.

This pic on ak47 subreddit sent me down this particular rabbit hole. Was never interested in plum before seeing this, then my pants suddenly got strangely tight.

Never tried to clean one up. All the ones I've seen appear to have been painted over with black paint, and only after the paint wears off is the plum visible. I suppose it could be done, but not sure.

Saw a couple threads on paint removal for plums that had been painted. Guess I'll have to experiment around a bit and see what works. Or doesn't.
